Liturgical
Ministries
Greeters
This group of men and women greet parishioners before Mass and make
special announcements to the gathered assembly. They help set the
tone for the weekend Mass celebration.
Lectors
These men and women and high school students proclaim the Word of
God during the celebration of Mass and other para-liturgical celebrations.
They assemble before Mass in the sacristy, join the solemn procession
for Mass, sit in designated right front seats , and enter the sanctuary
to proclaim the Word of God at the ambo. General instructions are
given to this group in order that the proclamation of the Word may
be fittingly and appropriately carried out for the nourishment,
guidance and instruction and hearing of the assembled gathering.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
This commissioned group of men and women distribute the Body and
Blood of Christ to the congregation during the celebration of the
Eucharist at Sunday and daily liturgies. They assemble in the sacristy
before Mass, prepare the ciboria, flagon of wine, and arrange the
elements for the Offertory procession during the Preparation of
the Gifts. They assemble for the solemn procession behind the Lectors,
sit on the left hand side of the front center aisle in designated
seats, and enter the sanctuary at the Lamb of God in front of the
tabernacle where they receive the Body and Blood of Christ and then
are given the ciboria or chalice for distribution. They return the
ciboria to the tabernacle when all have received Communion and place
the chalices on the altar and the ciboria in the tabernacle. They
exit the church with the celebrant, servers, and lectors.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound

parishioners who are hospitalized, infirm at home or in convalescant
homes each week. They pray with them, for them, and bring Holy Communion
to them if they are able to receive and so desire. This large band
of adults brings the presence of the church to our seniors and to
those who are infirm.

take up the collections, and assist at the end of Mass to return
the Church to its pre-Mass condition.
