Our Lenten Program
One Light, One Journey, One Human Family
For 34 years, Operation Rice Bowl has helped to feed the hungry poor. Through our participation in this program, we bring hope and healing to another person or family living halfway across the globe, strengthen and enriching persons’ lives, both physically and spiritually, and greatly enhancing your parish community’s Lenten faith experience. This Lent, gather in prayer and sacrifice as a family to pray and to care for the hungry poor.

Topic: Gospel of Matthew
Letter from the Pastor
Dear Friends,
Thank you for the very gracious and friendly welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish last weekend. As we continue our Lenten journey toward Easter, we will continue to celebrate Lent and the beautiful Triduum as you have in the past. As we go forward, Iwould like to establish a Liturgy Committee to assist in the planning of Liturgical events of the parish.
As is customary, I will re-appoint your existing Parish Council and Finance Council so that they can continue to assist me in the governance of the parish. The Bible study group will continue to meet on Monday night at 6:30 P.M. in the church hall. We will have as our topic from now until June the “Gospel of Matthew” This is the principal Gospel for our current liturgical cycle.
I wish to thank Father Lipton who cared for this parish during the time of transition from Msgr. Bide to my arrival on February 13, 2008.
Please feel free to contact me at the rectory anytime I may be of service to you or any member of your family. I pray each day for all our parishioners. Please keep me in your prayers.
Sincerely,
Father Joe
