Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings of Peace.
This Third Sunday of Advent is called “Gaudete” or Rejoice Sunday. We light a third candle, pink, a more cheerful color. We have more light but not yet the full light that the center candle will give surrounded by four candles. We’re full of anticipation, we get ready. Jesus is about to be born!
Unless we prepare ourselves we may not be able to rejoice. Christmas will be just another day. This is the time that God has given us to prepare ourselves and receive Jesus in our heart and in our home. If we prepare ourselves we can rejoice for the coming of the Lord.
My friends, this season of Advent is a great opportunity to reaffirm our faith in Jesus Christ. Let us prepare ourselves by going for a good confession and amend our life by leading a good life, and to try hard, to think always good, do good and be good at all times.
God Bless you.
Fr. Mariadas J. Lipton

PRAYER FOR PEACE
GOD OUR FATHER
CREATOR OF THE WORLD,
YOU ESTABLISH THE ORDER
WHICH GOVERNS ALL AGES.
HEAR OUR PRAYER
AND GIVE US PEACE IN OUR TIME,
THAT WE MAY REJOICE IN YOUR MERCY
AND PRAISE YOU WITHOUT END.
WE ASK THIS THROUGH OUR LORD
JESUS CHRIST, YOUR SON,
WHO LIVES AND REIGNS WITH YOU
AND THE HOLY SPIRIT,
ONE GOD, FOREVER AND EVER.
AMEN
