Message from the Pastor
Dear Friends,
One of the loveliest stories in the Gospel is the story of how the risen Jesus joined two of his disciples on the road to Emmaus. He explained the Scriptures to them, revealed himself in the breaking of the bread. The same thing happens for us when we celebrate the Eucharist. Jesus speaks to us and nourishes us in Holy Communion. We meet Jesus in the breaking of the bread.
On last Sunday the OLPH Ladies Guild sponsored their Annual Easter Dinner. This was a great event, celebrating Easter and coming together as a multigenerational faith community. There was dancing, great food and wonderful conversation. A good time was had by all. We look forward to next year. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make this event so successful.

By giving to the ABA, you help to: build our faith communities through ministry education and training at the parish base; offer hope and encouragement to the grieving, the lonely and the elderly, and counsel and strength to families at risk; create an environment for our children where they will learn fundamental life values and receive a quality education through our Faith Formation programs and Catholic School system; bring comfort and healing to people in need with emergency assistance. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich serves 78 parishes and 10 missions in eastern Connecticut. Share your love for God and others…pledge a generous gift to the Annual Bishop’s Appeal.
